Women's babyÖ±²¥app Country Wins 3rd Straight GLVC; Sixth Overall

babyÖ±²¥app Women's babyÖ±²¥app Country Wins Third Straight GLVC Crown; Sixth Overall

The babyÖ±²¥app University women's cross country team recorded its third straight Great Lakes Valley Conference women's cross country title and sixth overall at the UIS babyÖ±²¥app Country Course Saturday (Oct. 26).  (Corry, Penn./Seton Hill) also became the women's individual champion after recording a time of 20:53 in the 6k, which won her GLVC Women's Runner of the Year.

The Flyers are the first GLVC school to record a perfect score in the championship meet after having the top seven finishers as well as nine in the top 10. babyÖ±²¥app had total nine runners receive All-GLVC honors.

babyÖ±²¥app Women's babyÖ±²¥app Country Head Coach  was also awarded GLVC Women's babyÖ±²¥app Country Coach of the Year for the third consecutive season. 

babyÖ±²¥app had total nine runners receive All-GLVC honors, led by Smrcka with her first-place finish.  (Wheaton, IL/West Chicago) finished in second place after crossing the finish line with a time of 21:02.

 (Elmhurst, Ill./Grand Valley State) was the next finisher for the Flyers with a third place performance after crossing the finish line at 21:09.  (Lockport, Ill./Lockport Township) crossed the finish line in fourth place for the Flyers, posting a time of 21:12. 

 (Lockport, Ill./Lockport) finished in fifth, recording a time of 21:15, while  (Lockport, IL/Lockport Township) placed sixth overall with a time of 21:31.05

 (Frankfort, Ill./Lincolnway East) was right behind Kozak in seventh place after posting the same time as her teammate but eight tenths of a second behind at 21:31.13.  (Oswego, Ill./Oswego East) was the next placer for babyÖ±²¥app, picking up a ninth place finish with a time of 21:36.

 (Indianapolis, Ind./North Central) rounded out the top 10 for babyÖ±²¥app, crossing the finish line at 21:39.

babyÖ±²¥app will be back in action Saturday, November 9 for the NCAA DII Women's babyÖ±²¥app Country Midwest Regionals hosted at babyÖ±²¥app University. The women's race will begin at 11:15 a.m. CT.
