in 1976 as a non-partisan, non-profit, public policy, research and
educational institute. Our mission is to serve as the non-partisan
policy-oriented catalyst
that educates future leaders and promotes collaboration among legislators,
business leaders, underrepresented-focused organizational leaders, and organized
labor to effect positive and sustainable change in the African American
community.
To that end, CBCF works to broaden and elevate the influence of African

its mission to double the rate of Hispanics earning college degrees,
HSF provides
the Latino
community more college scholarships and educational outreach
support than any other organization in the country. Headquartered
in San Francisco, HSF has
opened regional offices in Southern California, the Southwest,
the Northeast, the Southeast, and the Midwest. In addition, HSF
launched
the
Washington, D.C.-based
Hispanic Scholarship Fund Institute to generate public partnerships
in support of its work. During its 30-year history, HSF has awarded
more than 73,000 scholarships
totaling nearly $170 million to Latinos from all 50 states, Puerto
Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands and Guam who have attended more than
1,700 colleges and universities.
There are also regional scholarships for students attending certain
